Sugar Town is a community in Louisiana. Sugar Town is also a film in 1999.
Sugar Town is also a 1966 hit single by Nancy Sinatra, which the film Sugar Town was named after.
And I who live in 2009 love this song.
Sung by Summer in the movie. :)
- SUGAR TOWN -
I got some troubles but they won't last
I'm gonna lay right down here in the grass
And pretty soon all my troubles will pass
'cause I'm in shoo-shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo-shoo
Shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo Sugar Town
I never had a dog that liked me some
Never had a friend or wanted one
So I just lay back and laugh at the sun
'cause I'm in shoo-shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo-shoo
Shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo Sugar Town
Yesterday it rained in Tennessee
I heard it also rained in Tallahassee
But not a drop fell on little old me
'cause I was in shoo-shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo-shoo
Shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo Sugar Town
If I had a million dollars or ten
I'd give to ya, world, and then
You'd go away and let me spend
My life in shoo-shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo-shoo
Shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo, shoo-shoo Sugar Town

There is this very popular Thai restaurant near William's house which always has a long queue and we went there last friday for dinner. It's good and affordable, adds up to only 23 bucks for 2! :) Here are the dishes that we tried:-

1) Prawn Tom Yum Soup (Clear Base)
2) Spicy Minced Pork
3) Kang Kong in Thai Style
4) Red Ruby Dessert
It is evident we are spicy food lovers, everything is spicy except for the dessert. This is one of the best Thai food place we've visited in Singapore.
The red ruby is my all time favourite dessert - the chewy exterior plus the water chestnut in it, together with the coconut milk blended in shaved ice...not forgetting some thinly sliced of jackfruit (which I really don't eat because I find the smell and taste rather strong) that surprisingly go so well with the dessert. It's so good that it didn't occur to me that it was jackfruit initially. The picture above doesn't do it justice because there were loads of red rubies hidden underneath the shaved ice. He loves it too, looks like we will grow fat together. Haha...

We caught a movie on Sunday - "(500) Days of Summer". There is just something so captivating about this film. Good storyline and cast. We both enjoyed the show and discussed about it enthusiastically over dinner. Go catch it if you haven't!
Looking forward to the next weekend already. So many things we want to do but so little time...Probably need another 50,000 days?:)

A Mountain of Sugar Cubes
A friend of mine bought a car for the purpose of driving his fiancee around, and his license plate was customised to read "(insert fiancee's name)'s TAXI" just below the car license number. It also serves as a form of reassurance to the girl cos he can't drive other girls around with the car haha...No special occasion or whatsoever, I really think this is extremely sweet and innovative:) Heard of many sweet stories but this got to be the only one that truly impressed me in a long while. It's not about whether it's a big car or a small one, it's the sweet intention that counts and is priceless. Which other guy will ever have such a sweet thought to be his girl's lifetime "taxi driver" and can come up with such an idea? It means so much more than if the guy were to buy a car for his girl - you get the drift. Sweetest couple I must say!:)

The following Maths question was on Yahoo news today in the article "Parents up in arms again over PSLE Mathematics paper":-
"Jim bought some chocolates and gave half of it to Ken. Ken bought some sweets and gave half of it to Jim. Jim ate 12 sweets and Ken ate 18 chocolates. The ratio of Jim¡¯s sweets to chocolates became 1:7 and the ratio of Ken¡¯s sweets to chocolates became 1:4. How many sweets did Ken buy?"
I was bored and tried to solve the above question, and I must admit this is not an easy one to solve! Luckily I did, phew(!).
I can totally understand how the poor kids must have felt while sitting for the important paper. Exams are one of the worst kind of stress in the world.
The answer is 68.

Fell sick again. Have been experiencing stomach problems since last Wed till now. Weekend was spent doing very dormant stuff, like lying in bed and reading mags. The more active stuff I did was trips to the toilet and celebrating mooncake festival with the sisters. We played with candles, lanterns and went bubble crazy.
Went office today to collect the laptop for client's work at their office tomorrow - which has no VPN to have email and internet access. Gonna do lots of OT this week, I reallie need to get well by end of today to be strong enough to take on the mountain-high workload.
Feel like having a good round of badminton...or a run! Or briskwalk...or...maybe just a long stroll. First up I need to get a pair of good shoes!
Tiring week ahead. Wish me luck!
