It's officially Friday. TGIF!:)

Been a really hectic week with loads of work to do, with many discussions everyday. Toilet breaks are like a luxury. I'm mainly working on my CA study for IR project. I think my excel skills are improving by leaps and bounds due to it, with all the different formats/presentations, linkages for every single cell and across many spreadsheets, ensuring everything flows through nicely haha...Good thing for me that my self-learning worked well!:)

Anyway so thankful that Friday is here, and I can finally rest my engines thereafter!

It was Sis#4's birthday on 9 December. Here's a nice picture of her birthday cake:

I like how cakes always look prettier with many lit colourful candles on them - adds on to the joyous and vibrant mood too.

Feeling very hungry, because it's 1 a.m. now. I seem to have forgotten that TGIF does not mean that there is no work on Friday, that explains why I am still awake. Time to turn in to curb the hunger pangs...Night!

Today at his office writing addresses on envelopes to be sent out...Five minutes after he bought us both drinks, the following happened.

"EH? Wo de guan leh??" *looks around everywhere**looks into dustbin under the desk**finds bottle in dustbin* Said in realisation, "Oh. He wan liao..."

Full translation:-

"EH? Where is my bottle of drink??" *looks around everywhere* *looks into dustbin under the desk**finds bottle in dustbin* Said in realisation, "Oh. Finished drinking already..."

Hahaha! Finished the drink in 2 minutes flat and then forgotten that he drank it and tossed it away. The expression was priceless.:)

Finalised my leave in December and early January, very delighted and looking forward to it! Don't think I'm going to use my passport during these periods but I'm still excited haha.

24-28 December & 31 December-4 January

And Sis is probably going to hold a Christmas party or Countdown party! How nice is that:)

Christmas is coming in less than a month's time:)

My all-time favourite season of the year, which is so unexplainably beautiful. It may be due to those Christmas carols, pretty lightings along the streets, or colourful Christmas trees but I still can't quite explain that delightful, warm, cozy and peaceful feeling whenever Christmas is near/here.:)I haven't seen snow yet so hope I can be in somewhere that snows during Christmas in time to come.^^

Anyway, this is the best time to go for strolls and admire the lightings and decorations everywhere, especially in town. This is the best time to go shopping for Christmas presents. And I've started mine already!

I bought so much stuff last weekend! And actually shopped & ran all kinds of errands for about 6 hours or more till blisters formed on my feet. Haha didn't manage to get my shoes/heels for work cos my favourite shop didn't have those pointed heels anymore. Hope they launch a new collection of pointed heels very soon cos they absolutely fit my feet and are so comfortable that I refuse to buy from any other brands. But I finally set my eyes on a pair of sports shoes after so many months of hunting for a pair that I would like. And there they were on display in Adidas so I bought them.:)

Going to gym after Christmas! And can finally play some proper badminton!

Also visited the bf's new office on that same shopping day and his own room is very strategically located. It overlooks the Fountain of Wealth! Haha..Happy for him!

Looks like it's going be a good year end and prosperous new year ahead. Haha...:)

Last Workday of The Week!

Today is a generally good day, despite having to work OT and reaching home about half an hour before 10p.m...It's good because the long weekend is coming! Actually it was supposed to be a 4-day long weekend but had to cancel my leave due to workload.

In addition, I purchased tickets today to AMIT LIVE CONCERT for two! Bringing William to it:) It costs me $342 in total but the excitement overrides that. Afterall, it's been about 12 years since I last watched a concert haha...Extremely looking forward to hearing the powerhouse sing live! We're definitely going to enjoy it, being the avid music lovers we are. JAN 29!;)

Plan for tomorrow: going to Jurong to visit the newly weds' "temporary shelter".

Plan for Sat/Sun: shoe-shopping, collect tix and redeem donuts haha!

I am thankful to be awakened by the smses i received early in the morning, sent by people I care about.

Thanks to all my dear friends & family for the well wishes, be it FB messages, smses, celebrations, or presents!

Thanks to my wonderful bf. For choosing & buying my birthday cake and coming over to my house to celebrate together with my family yesterday, all the way from Yishun after his appointment. It must have been a tiring 1.5 hours' journey but he hadn't grumbled the least bit... And thanks for the gorgeous birthday present that I shall use over the next thirty years as well as for the birthday celebration we had last Sunday... He is the sweetest! Words can't express how much I appreciate him. :)

Sorry, can't help being mushy. *Grins*

My birthday wish is the same this year. Because I still think that is the best thing to wish for throughout my entire life. :)

Anyway, 25 years and a day old as of today!

The Older We Get, The Less Courageous We Are

That is the conclusion I have after watching a horror movie in cinema recently. The movie is none other than PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, the budget movie that has raked in lots of profit and shall continue to!

I've heard about how scary it is, and have read the reviews. One of them mentioned how it scared the bones out of Steven Spielberg's skin. He took the very same tapes back home to watch, when his door got strangely locked up by itself. He quickly threw the tapes into a garbage bag and sent them back to Dream Factory.

However, when the movie started, I began to suspect how true those rave reviews were. The story moved rather slowly and I could just stare at the screen boldly. But hang on...I totally underestimated it, it was part of the plan. The horror works just like an exponential curve - it tortures you towards the end and right till the end.

Anyway. Last night I had trouble sleeping and went to bed with my mind still refusing to rest. Needless to say, my imagination ran wild and I started to recall some scenes from the movie in the dark.

That caused me more trouble trying to fall asleep. (-.-)

So watch it only if you are gungho enough...or else be prepared to sacrifice some sleep! I really hope more people will watch it though, so I can have discussions with them on the movie. Haha...

How true is this statement:

The beauty of friendships lies in that fact that they may and can die.

There are things that we've lost along the way, things that we've long forgotten or thought that we've left far behind...Yet...when we see a certain picture, scene or anything for that matter, familiarity hits us like it was just yesterday.

Our paths may or mayn't cross again but this is Life.

No matter what, I really hope u are doing fine! Sending my sincere blessings from Singapore to you. :)

Materialised our picnic plans! Thanks to the good weather! It only rained right after we left the beach.

Made lots of tuna, ham and cheese sandwiches, mini hotdogs, egg salad; bought apple juice, chips, sweets, blueberries. Sat down and enjoyed each other's company = Great weekend. ;)

Going out for dinner tonight. HAPPY 5.5 YEARS TO US!
